KAdams that is a fine looking trap.

Im interested in trying the underpan pad but The gap is 3/4" on the no bs havnt found a 3/4" batting or foam that will fit just right yet, I only find half and 1" thick avaialble.

You’re overthinking it…that pillow filling comes in bulk…I have a bag of it…pull it apart and use as much or as little as you want…I have used the dry understory grass that the new stuff emerges through with some success…also, am not afraid to remake a rain packed set if I deem it necessary….in and out very quickly. Keep the traps snappable and don’t look back…be confident.

When i did do some trapping for coyotes and cats years ago I did'nt have the internet only an old library book with a few basic set instructions and I had success just breaking dry soil up with my hands, I do remember the sets just getting wrecked by the rain and having to rebuild them. In winter time here the major movements of deer and predators are right after the fronts and they are always preceded by sheets of torrential rain. I know I'm over thinking things a bit, I just want to do best I can to be set out before the fronts and have the sets survive for that day or two of magic when the animals seem to come out of the ground. Also I'm going to put in about three dozen sets so it wont be a light undertaking to be resetting everything and i will only have limited amount of time. I do appreciate your input. Im attempting to shorten the curve as much as i can. instead of doing a whole bunch of failing in the process.

I believe the store-bought pads are ¾, but I am not certain.
I would call MTP and ask for the dimensions to make sure.
The “C” size pad fits the Bridger coil. I’m not sure if the pan is the exact same size on the NO –BS.
They are stiffer than the conventional foam. I would check the pan pressure with and without.
The pads are around .29 cents a piece.

BUTERA UNDERALLS

Maybe someone can chime in on the pad dimensions and Bridger pan size.

On the planning - Nothing wrong with thinking things through K.A.
You will catch a lot more targets doing your homework than you ever will slacking on the details.

Thanks ill check on that, The no Bs pans are actually 2 1/4" x 4", they are already large enough that I don't find the kill area gets enlarged by much at all with the screens, the way the pan sits below the jaws the screen only moves about an 1/8" of an inch before it hits the top of the levers on either side of the pan. and there really isn't much space inside the jaws for a critter to step without getting some portion of its foot on the pan. I was really only interested in the screens for weatherproofing.
.
Yeah I'm obsessive about details going into anything. During the covid shutdowns my work was getting shut down sporadically. I dove into trot-lining catfish I did my research built my own lines and went to it, I was catching some fish but l was having quite few lines frayed with missing hooks, at first i thought it was garfish but something just didn't quite fit, I found out i was tying my snoods wrong and i changed the configuration and immediately starting flopping 30 plus lb fish regularly and no more missing hooks. I try to go in with overkill and back off of what i dont need.

Again thankyou for your input,
