Going to try starlink, but we have tall trees near the house. Will they be an issue?

The "dish" typically faces north, and needs a clear view. The setup procedure includes a scan.

Either trim some or raise it high enough for a clear view

I’ve got mine pointing straight up from the roof. Got a bracket to get the angle correct. It works perfectly for me.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

To tell if you can use Starlink with trees around, download the official Starlink app and use its built-in augmented reality (AR) camera tool to scan the sky. The app will show you exactly which branches are causing obstructions and predict how they will affect your service

I’ve got a treed lot too. The app tells you where to point it, signal getting stronger and weaker as you point your phone to different parts of the sky. Mines almost level o top of the house, as I’ve got no trees on my roof…..
The phone indicates poor-moderate signal……but it’s the best internet I’ve had with up to 3 people streaming stuff…….lol
On another note, if I drop to 100mbs or something like that, my bill will be cut in half. Some new promotion?

I just started running a hog trap camera with it, really easy to set up but does appear to need a clear view of the sky so not much use in heavy wooded area's. Friend has one on his house and he has tree's all around so guess it depends on where it needs to be pointed and how close the tree's are to the house.

Never thought the day would come we would be using a telephone to trap, lol. Crazy times.
