When I received the box in the mail and started playing with the trap I thought about Charlie Dobbins and how he would have been pleased with the equipment improvements we have seen over the last 30 years.

This thing is going to be a winner.

Will be interesting to see how they perform. Personally, I don't like the pivot point of the pan down so low as it appears it will be bedded or in direct contact with the ground unless you take ample precaution with bedding to make an extra notch for pan movement. It looks like 2 points that will likely rust quicker in our soils. Just my thoughts. I hope I am wrong.

A legitimate concern but the Bridger and Duke dogless, and NO BS traps have the pivot point at the same spot and no one complains about problems with traps firing.

Looks to be a well built trap, but why not put better chain and swivels on them,I'm sure trapper's would pay another $2 per trap for the better chain 'swivels....

I watched your newest video, I really wish they would have raised the jaw posts a little and then lowered the shelf for the pan to catch on. The trap would be a shade taller but the jaw spread would be the same and the pan would sit down lower below the jaws and still have the same amount of clearance underneath the pan and steel screen would lay flat. That’s how the no bs traps did there’s.

Looks like the levers have taken a beaten. Looks in the video there getting bent where they stop against the jaws.
