a friend told me about, the state nursery giving away trees, he got 100 red oaks , 5-7 foot tall, I went yesterday and got,5 white swamp oaks , and 20 black walnut, beautiful trees, can't believe they were giving them away, talked with the lady, and she said that they didn't have enough help to plant them and she didn't want to throw them away

Gotta plant Swamp Whites in the right place or they croak pretty quick.

Swamp white oaks are consistent acorn producers at an early age. I planted some in my yard and they started producing at about 10 years old and haven’t missed a year yet.
