Dont have a lot of free space for anything big. Hoping to find a compact type of unit.

I use my phone radio, just plug in ear buds and they become your antenna and your phone speaker can be amplified by the way you angle the phone speaker so it bounces off of the flat surface
Or just use a Bluetooth speaker
If you have Internet access, you can listen to anything

I know Smash I went the whole other way with this

Ours is compact as are the speakers. We like it.

I dont have a smart phone so I need a radio / CD player.

Never have been much a radio guy unless it's talk radio and for that AM did me just fine. I miss my daily dose of Brother Rush noon to three on my daily drive.

Podcasts have replaced AM talk radio for me and for that the smart phone and bluetooth headset are my daily deal while I'm on the road.

I like the Wizard of Oz intro to Frayed Ends of Sanity. One is my favorite Metallica song. I’m also ready for that time warp.

Cassettes my aching butt! I'm gonna dig out my big box of 8 tracks!!!!!

Sadly I gave away my 8 tracks a few years ago right along with my 8 track player from the car

I think 8 tracks were just a bit before my time but I remember my pap had an Oldsmobile that played them

My first stereo was an 8-track/record. I got it for my room when my mom upgraded to a record/cassette stereo for the living room.

Further proof of how weird things are; we were doing some work at my mom’s on her little potting shed. She has these neighbor kids that were outside and shouting at “Alexa” to play this or that. I’m like wow how things have changed. If a kid had to fast forward a cassette he’d prob explode

The old styles always make a comeback. About 8 years ago my niece was going nuts for “mom jeans”
