Went down to Nacogdoches a couple months back to help a buddy with his pig problem. I shot two crankers the first night- 272 lbs and 223 lbs. I shot another small boar the 2nd night that weighed 138 lbs. First time using the Ruger SFAR .308 suppressed with a SilencerCo Omega can (which is not the gun I'm holding in the pics). I'm running a day/night vision scope and using a thermal scanner that connects via USB to my phone. Budget setup, but happy with it for my needs. The thermal image is better than what you see in the video. The file size was compressed to upload.

That’s awesome… once you switch to thermal it’s hard to go back to the day/night scopes.
Hardest part down here is getting permission… every one hates pigs, but don’t want you to hunt them unless you want to pay.
How do you like the omega can? Are you using the 300dt or the 36m?

First year for serious concern for wild hogs in Ohio really just this year. I might need a new setup.

Did Jbyrd take those three pictures on the top for you. That hog must weigh a thousand pounds.
All joking aside nice hunt and pics. Those cutters always amaze me. Thanks for sharing those videos

I'm running the 300. No complaints. Have only shot 5.56 and .308 through it so far.

No, we drove them up to Coldspring, Tx and donated them to the Muslim Brotherhood.

I kept the head off the big one and have it the chest freezer. One of these days I'll euro mount it. I'm told to fill the teeth with epoxy or they'll crack.

Should make a good show-and-tell for my daughters kindergarten class next year.

Went to college in Nac. Pigs were just starting to be a problem back then.
Love eating the smaller ones, have a 60 lb sow in the freezer now.

The skulls have a ton of grease in them, you may need to drill a small hole in the lower jaw for it to drain out or they will stay oily forever, near the lower front part.

Nice shooting sir !!
