Group plans, are they any good or would you be ahead to get a supplement plan?

We have both. I have a Plan G UnitedHealthcare Supplement, and my wife has Humera Medicare Advantage. If these don't cover everything, TriCare for Life usually does.

Tell us about the group plan you are considering. Are you retiring soon? My wife's retired state employee plan is about inflation proof. My retiree spending account pays for my Supplement G, even when premiums increase.

My wife was a NC school administrator for 30 years. I retired from Prudential and served in the Coast Guard Reserve for 27 years. We are very fortunate to not have any health insurance costs.

Medicare Advantage's business model is to simply refuse to reimburse providers for services. In the long term that will not work.
