just like the title says...anyone makes bows?I'm about to start and was wondering if anyone had any experience or tips.

I read some on it. Never done it. Whatever you do, do some research on it, and when you so cut some staves, let them dry out completely. You don't have good bow wood down in Louisiana; you may need to order an already cured out stave. If you do end up making one, take your time. Carving a good bow will take a lot of time.

thanks! i have been doing research and found how i can use a lot of wood down here (though it isnt common) you could use cedar,red oak,white oak and mulberry.
