I’m sure this has been discussed hundreds of times but,,,,, my wife, 7 year old and I are headed to Texas the middle of July for a wedding. Sounds like her cousin might have some land we could hog hunt on around the Wichita Falls area. I’m sure it’s going to be 115 degrees out but that’s life. Hopefully we can find some entertain us. Never shot a wild hog before, is there an age limit for hog hunting down there? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

On private land no bag limit and no license needed.

There are plenty of hogs along the Red.
Like Leftlane said no license required on private land and night hunting is legal and very successful.
Will be very hot but we've seen mid day hog activity when it's hot.
Go get some !!

If you don't own a thermal, borrow or buy one and hunt at night.
If not, hunt about a hour and a half after it gets light enough to see and about the same before sunset

They will be close to water I would imagine in July

Thanks for the replies. I’ve got a thermal and also burrowing another. Should be fun to see if my boy can get a shot at one. He’s more excited than anyone!
