For a few months my PC and my phone haven't been on speaking terms, but I finally got it figured out, and thought I'd post up some stuff that Ive been up to.

Finally finished the Whelen stock after a long time on the project. I am happy with the result, but after a 15 year break from making stocks it was a slow process.

This is the forend after cutting in half the lines. It is 20 lines to the inch and full wrap grip and forend.

Here it is fully checkered before the final oil.

And put back together. It has an ebony tip and an ancient Leupold 2-7 that is perfect for these driven hunts. I need to fly Wolfie out here to get me dialed in at 50 yards so I can shoot running stag and boars.

Here are a couple mallard calls I made for family in the states.

Built a bunch of shutters for my neighbor's house. All tongue in groove pine. He does the final sanding and painting thankfully.

Neat old photo of my dad and his brother outside the house in Bozeman, MT in 1923. My dad is on the left. I built the frame from some 50 year old oak baseboard and black walnut trim.

And my roe buck from late August last year. I didn't get it done with the bow during the rut in July/early August, despite some close encounters, so this one died Swiftly.

Good luck and large living to all on this great site.

Pete

You do nice work and I love the old school scope. Around here all the man buns are convinced they need a tactical sniper scope and a supressed rifle or the game will never fall I guess.

Super nice job.
