The stomach is out of wack,,, the gut bio is out of wack


Need to reset the stomach,,,

Fasting,,,, then feed it bone broth,,, milk kefir,,,,,

Then high quality raw,,,,and continue with the kefir


Or it has mental issues,,,, lol

Coproban chews will do the trick.
I just have a bad taste in my mouth (pardon the pun) with Hills. A lot of their prescription diets don’t do what they claim, we have seen. And their communications and shipping times are ridiculous when clients animals are dependent on these foods.
There are so many boutique shoppe pet foods out now it’ll make your head spin.
I’ve always been a fan of Purina ONE. Readily available and my dogs thrived on it for years.

I now would choose Acana, that is what I feed my cats
If I got a dog that’s what I’d probably go to

The Kibble is so loaded with flavor enhancers so they will eat it, the stool tastes good too.
You need to:
Change brands
Pick up stool immediately
Add something to alter the stool taste, like meat tenderizer or one of the myriad of offerings at the pet store.
Mother dog's cleaning up after the pup's often develop that habit.

So....do I put meat tenderizer on the turds in the yaahd ??

Here's what I'd do.
Start you up a dog poop cleanup service.
All you need to do is bring your turd-licking dog along. No bags, no poop handling issues.

If they are not tender already, have the dog's teeth checked

We top dress with pumpkin once a day.... good fiber and keeps the anal gland functioning...had no idea about making poop taste bad

No, on the kibble at feeding time.

That is exactly what I was thinking. Hot sauce has worked wonders for every one of my dogs when they were teething and chewing on things around the house.

Are you guys meaning to say you feed hot sauce to the dogs or you’re sprinkling it on the poop to deter the dogs from eating it …rather than just disposing of the stool!? Seems like a waste of hot sauce and potentially harmful to the dog if ingested . Pancreatitis if ingested

Theres houndsmen that train dogs that dont tolerate it and trade for a diff hound. They dont want a dog thats not smart enough to not eat their own crap. Same thing with stepping on it in the kennel. Never heard of the chews.

I tried hot sauce on the wood door frame of a transport box to keep a Beagle from eating it trying to get out. He LOVED it, couldn't get enough.

I had only seen dogs who had a nutritional deficiency do that and ironically, it was corrected every time by switching to a good food like Science Diet. - AT least it used to be top notch (in the 1980's) but I do not know if it has changed. Maybe worth a look!

I had a dog that was raised in a stable, not fed properly, not wanted there and maybe kicked and abused by a kid. Think he lived mainly on horse apples. When I got him at 3 months, he'd eat the other dogs scat, because to him it was the closest thing to horse apples. I found if I put anything on the other dogs food to encourage the finicky eater, it apparently smelled good to that dog and he'd eat it. If I didn't put some flavor enhancer, like hamburger grease, yogurt, etc. he'd turn up his nose to it, partly because he was being fed decently now. Maybe your Welsh Terrier experienced something similar.
