Hello, I’m on day 3 of a beaver job. First night caught a 35-40#, 2nd night 50 and another 35-40, last night a 50# with obvious 4 nipples. My question is about her kits, this time of year is there anything I can do to rescue them?

Only if you can find them, but then ?.

They’ll usually be crawling on or near the lodge calling for the mother in about 24 hrs or so. At that point I bring the .22. Customers where I’m at seem to only want the complete lethal removal. Then again, we have a healthy population of beaver as it is. Not sure how they could be scooped to be “rescued”. Interested to learn if you find a way!

If they are out of the house they may be hiding in the dam or near the house.If so you can trap them by using the urine from the tittie female.
If they are in the house you may be able to open the house thru the vent hole (if you are a good worker) and scoop them out with your hands.
Small kit beaver cannot dive on their own-they are too buoyant.The mother will carry them in and out of the house when they are still too buoyant to dive.

Interesting. How large? I have got them existing the den at a little bigger then a #9

I have caught them in late june and seen them hiding in the dam around the same time frame with the tittie female caught on the crossover,so about 2-3 weeks old and they cannot dive.About the size of a small muskrat.
