On Sunday, our gun club was asked to take part in a Liberty Tree dedication ceremony. This was at the Stony Hill Schoolhouse in Fredonia, WI, which is the birthplace of Flag Day. It was a nice little ceremony for a really cool cause. The Sons of the American Revolution were there, as well as family of the school teacher who started Flag Day and the Luxembourg council from Washington DC. The founder of Flag day was a Luxembourg immigrant. The area is heavily populated by people descended from Luxembourg immigrants also.

Nice photo and history . That's a great tradition to look forward to every year.

My grandmother was DAR and registered me the same as well. She was a genealogist and traveled the world in her research. I went with her on several trips. I saw many historical places with her.

Thank you for sharing this, K Snow.
