All the weird stuff going on here lately.
Lots of busy for a town of 4500 people.

As if the craziness from the last few weeks wasn’t enough..we had an armed standoff today… thankfully no one was killed..
Guy went fruit loops and beat up his older parents and then held them hostage for a long time today.
Road coming into town was completely road blocked. Swat team and the whole show of police presence from city, county, state and the conservation police.

He finally surrendered about 4 pm central time.

I’m not saying it has anything to do with the new “ occult” shop that opened up in town… the timing couldn’t be better.

There is bad stuff everywhere , more where there is a higher level of poverty and substance abuse but still that is most places.

there is a ton of wisdom in this short prayer and it applies to so much beyond addiction.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change.
The courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.

you can't change that there will be some level of bad stuff anywhere you go , yes getting out of the ILL state might help a little , but your family is all there and that is support networks so unless all of you are moving and I would guess none of you have that kind of money saved based on the struggles you share.

Look at what you can change in your life to help you and your kids out to have fewer emergencies.

May God grant you the wisdom to know what those things are.
