New favorite thing lately is all these Europeans coming to the US for the world cup and like 90% of them seem to have had this apiffinity that th US is actually pretty nice . Apparently our hospitality is throwing many of them for a loop. Also American weather especially thunder storms are like terrifying to many of them

On average, every 45 minutes, Britain has a multimillionaire in pounds emigrate out of the country. Most immigrate to the US. More well educated, fairly wealthy, young British people are emigrating than are are being born. A lot of other European countries are close to the same.
My youngest brother married a British Lady on Sunday. This was their first of 3 weddings. This wedding was put in front of the other one because of immigration issues. 68 people were in attendance. They'll be a huge wedding later here and a huge wedding in Britain. She will inherit a beautiful 300 plus year old, named manor house and its estates, when her parents die, but they have no plans to ever live there.
Our immigration system is messed up. She has an undergraduate degree, two advanced degrees, is wealthy, speaks perfect English, has no criminal record, has traveled to 44 countries, is very well connected and is now married to an American. She's had American Visas, since she was a child and has been to most US States. It's cost and going to cost my brother a huge amount of money to get her citizenship. She can't leave the US now until she has US citizenship. They will have to meet with immigration officials every few weeks for a long period of time.
We let over 14 million illegal immigrants in just 2023, most of who will cost us more than they produce. Most speak little to no English. Most will never fit in.
It seem beyond obvious that we should prioritize intelligent, wealthy, highly educated, highly motivated, English speakers, over people that crap on the side of the road, have IQs in the seventies, so low they struggle to grasp cause and effect, who come from radically different cultures, which approve of behavior we find repugnant, like female genital mutilation and rape, who can't speak English and who may never even learn it.

In 2025, only 7515 Americans were accepted as permanent residents in Canada. In 2024, 18,590 Canadians were accepted as permanent residents in the US. Canada had the most people, in the fifty years they have kept records, permanently flee the country, 65,390. Canada more than replaced them with just the 127,375 Indians they made permanent residents in 2024. There is currently more than 8 times Canada's current population in Indians, trying to move there. Soon Canada will become an Indian colony, controlled by Indians.

That is incredible. They are so scared that you will try to date them, they will all be taking themselves off the market by getting married to any snow Mexican, who can fit them all in their trapping cabin or shanty.

There are still some of them and their decendents from a hippie commune they set up near Englehart a couple hundred miles south of here. I think most bailed for Peachland BC after the first winter. Better for them to be a refugee than cannon fodder I guess. I doubt we would take you in nowadays when Trump drafts you. Maybe we will need a wall, lol.

Please build a Canadian wall. You could build the wall with moose racks, or pancakes glued together with maple syrup, or stacks of Canadian bacon. You could add a maple syrup moat too. The top of the wall could have broken hockey sticks sticking out of it like spikes. Most of the terrorists who enter the US come across the Canadian border along with large numbers of illegal aliens.

I don't recall any thunderstorms during my time in Germany. Worst weather was a windstorm that came in off the Atlantic with hurricane force winds. Dropped trees all across central Germany, we were weeks working with the german forstmeisters as make shift loggers salvaging timber. They waste nothing when it comes to their timber, every log and tree is cataloged down to boardfeet before it leaves the woods.
Heck, the barracks didn't even have or need AC.

I have co-workers who took nearly 2 years of being married to get their wives into the US their wives had come on student visas gone to college here and met their husbands , who then had to let them go back to their home countries and work through the system for years to get them here legally
our pastor has a Japanese daughter in law and a Korean son in-law
both speak english , both have degrees , the son in law has been 2 years in the works to get here , he is finally here he is a civil engineer and waiting on a social security card now but almost able to work finally.
it's crazy that well educated people marrying US citizens have to wait years to gain entry into the US

Immigrants should be of benefit to the people of the US. There is a huge difference in the benefit to the US taxpayer between an uneducated Haitan or Somali, who doesn't speak English, with a net worth of hundreds of dollars than a highly educated person from Europe or Asia, who speaks proficient English with a net worth of 6 or 7 figures.
We should not take in any immigrants like the Haitans or Somalis.

You are confused again. You dont seem to know the difference between immigrants and refugees and your govts policies regarding such difference..
Refugees are a parasitic form of immigrant. There's no confusion. We should never take any refugees. They are of little to often negative value and can be cared and provided for, a great many times more cheaply in other countries. For instance it's pennies on the dollar to house, feed and medicate a refugee in Africa compared to any US city.
Your children and grandchildren, if they even survive, will likely become a despised minority in Canada, in one generation, because Canada will be ruled by third world people. I very much hope decent Canadians stop third world migration to Canada and deport all the third world people. Having an Indian controlled nation on the US border will be an ecological nightmare. The Great Lakes, rivers, oceans and atmosphere will suffer great harm.

You may not have noticed, but Canada doesn't appear to be returning them very well. Refugees are required by international law to remain in the first safe country. Canada is not the first safe country the refugees Canada takes in reach. You are getting economic invaders.
Most of the people from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, who enter Canada on student visas, never go to even their first day of class. Your people have been sold out by the liberals. Canadians of European descent currently have a terrible future ahead of them. I fear for and pity the European Canadians. It's almost too late for them to keep their country.

High end immigration is beneficial. Low end immigration is detrimental. Most of my parents friends are immigrants. They mostly have doctorates and are now worth millions. My dad's best friend, Ghobad, is from Kurdistan. He became a Vice President at Proctor & Gamble. His oldest son was the number 2 Engineering student in the entire US. He received over 60 job offers and now is high up in Lockheed Martin at a young age.
My dad's employee and friend Pete, from Venezuela, was long considered the best pharmaceutical researcher in the US.
My mom's best friend, Irene, is from Venezuela. Her brother was a conservative vice president of Venezuela. Her daughter started a company in Silicon Valley that is valued at over 12 million.
We very much need immigrants like that. They make America better. We don't need people from incompatible cultures, who can't assimilate that suck up American tax dollars, who have abhorrent behavior. People are not all the same.

It's a bit of both. We need to not let all of our jobs go to foreign people. Snagging up incredibly talented people, who assimimilate fully, makes our country better, especially when their children continue on to be productive. Anyone paying 6 figures a year in taxes is of a strong benefit to our country.
I have played around with genetics in animals, on a pretty serious level, for over 30 years. I graduated college early, because of a project on mice I came up with. I've also studied human genetics pretty extensively. It's good to add the best you can to a population and bad to add anything inferior. Some individuals produce higher or lower than themselves, but for the most part better quality produces better.

Best educated for the job. And he scheduled my surgery around my timetable. He got me in early and had my surgery all done and healed up so I would not miss out on my spring beaver trapping. Great guy.Unfortunately he is leaving the North in a Couple months for residency at a big hospital in Kingston. We have a great French Canadian doctor here at the hospital in our small town. He has his own helicopter and goes out on his skidoo in the winter with a couple of his buds here that trap.

Their third world future masters will likely beat that out of them in short order. The lucky traditional Canadians will be able to flee to America or other Western countries. The rest will suffer greatly. They need to act soon, if they hope to avoid the takeover.

Refugees have protections under international law immigrants do not,and Canada will always provide hunanitarian assistance to refugees fleeing war and famine until they can safely return to their country. It is who we are as a people, unlike you.
I'm pretty sure my Irish ancestors were refugees fleeing famine and 700 years of British persecution. We were tired, poor and and huddled yearning to be free.

Since this turned into immigration lets not forget that even at Ellis Island many folks were sent back. We need immigration law and it needs to be enforced.
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

Amen. In my former post I forgot to point out, no matter how hard-working a person is, they still have to come through the legal channels.

With enforcement comes government goofy red tape. Ask Keith. Just like a lot of things in America, it is just simpler to ignore the rules.
"BOSTON (AP) — A federal judge on Monday struck down the Trump administration’s $100,000 fee on new H-1B visas, contradicting an earlier federal court ruling upholding the fee hike.
The administration announced the much-higher fee as a way of preventing foreign workers from taking American jobs.
But U.S. District Court Judge Leo Sorokin in Boston sided with 20 states and struck down the visa policy, concluding that the executive branch exceeded its authority and violated the Administrative Procedure Act, which governs how federal agencies develop and issue regulations.
“The Court finds that the Policy imposes a tax on H-1B petitions without the requisite delegation by Congress,” Sorokin wrote.
H-1B visas are meant for high-skilled jobs that are difficult to find American workers to fill. Deep-pocketed technology companies are the biggest users, with nearly three-quarters of approvals going to workers from India. The states argued that using the H-1B program to fill vacancies for much-needed doctors and teachers was already difficult before the higher fee.
Most H-1B visa applications cost several thousand dollars before the announced increase set off a wave of panic among confused employers, students and workers in the United States and abroad and led to several lawsuits, including in Boston."

My brother in law was a high level, token white manager at the Tata Group, India's largest conglomerate and one of the world's largest companies. They would trot him out to deal with other companies and politicians. He started hating working there because of that and all the abuses he saw. Tata and other Indian companies, that do business in the US keep the Visas and other documents of their Indian workers in the US, so that they can't go work for anyone else. That allows them to pay much less than normal US wages.
He also said that the workers frequently forge their credentials and often have very low competency. He now has a very low opinion of Indian people.
He got head hunted, by an American company and got to set up a completely new branch in Cincinnati. He now has 600 some mostly Americans working for him.
I think Indian immigration should be highly restricted. There's too many of them and they could flood the entire West and take control, like they are doing in Canada. So far, mostly more talented Indians are escaping India, but there average IQ as a nation is only in the mid seventies. Indians, like most non Europeans, have a strong tendency to look after their own people first. That's why in Canada, young Canadians of European descent, now struggle to find any entry level jobs.
Indians commit rape at a higher percentage rate than any other people. They have made their whole country, including their sacred Ganges River, an ecological and biological disaster. I fear they will ecologically ruin Canada, which will harm our Great Lakes, atmosphere and both oceans.
I have met a fair number of fine Indians, some of whom I have been friends with for 30 plus years. I was even offered and arranged marriage with an Indian woman, who was Episcopalian, when I broke up with my college girlfriend. I have also dealt with a lot of terrible Indians. I think we need to be highly selective of them and everyone else we let in our country. We need to protect the future of our people.

I had a DR from Singapore, was great, , but as soon as he finished his commitment to our country for his education, he went back to his country. That's what loyalty to country and family is all about! He went back to make his country a better place.
