Reading comprehension-I said Americans not just the dodgers-many came with their families.

I'm pretty sure my Irish ancestors were refugees fleeing famine and 700 years of British persecution. We were tired, poor and and huddled yearning to be free.

Yes, yes it is.

Since this turned into immigration lets not forget that even at Ellis Island many folks were sent back. We need immigration law and it needs to be enforced.

Amen. In my former post I forgot to point out, no matter how hard-working a person is, they still have to come through the legal channels.

With enforcement comes government goofy red tape. Ask Keith. Just like a lot of things in America, it is just simpler to ignore the rules.

"BOSTON (AP) — A federal judge on Monday struck down the Trump administration’s $100,000 fee on new H-1B visas, contradicting an earlier federal court ruling upholding the fee hike.

The administration announced the much-higher fee as a way of preventing foreign workers from taking American jobs.

But U.S. District Court Judge Leo Sorokin in Boston sided with 20 states and struck down the visa policy, concluding that the executive branch exceeded its authority and violated the Administrative Procedure Act, which governs how federal agencies develop and issue regulations.

“The Court finds that the Policy imposes a tax on H-1B petitions without the requisite delegation by Congress,” Sorokin wrote.

H-1B visas are meant for high-skilled jobs that are difficult to find American workers to fill. Deep-pocketed technology companies are the biggest users, with nearly three-quarters of approvals going to workers from India. The states argued that using the H-1B program to fill vacancies for much-needed doctors and teachers was already difficult before the higher fee.

Most H-1B visa applications cost several thousand dollars before the announced increase set off a wave of panic among confused employers, students and workers in the United States and abroad and led to several lawsuits, including in Boston."

My brother in law was a high level, token white manager at the Tata Group, India's largest conglomerate and one of the world's largest companies. They would trot him out to deal with other companies and politicians. He started hating working there because of that and all the abuses he saw. Tata and other Indian companies, that do business in the US keep the Visas and other documents of their Indian workers in the US, so that they can't go work for anyone else. That allows them to pay much less than normal US wages.

He also said that the workers frequently forge their credentials and often have very low competency. He now has a very low opinion of Indian people.

He got head hunted, by an American company and got to set up a completely new branch in Cincinnati. He now has 600 some mostly Americans working for him.

I think Indian immigration should be highly restricted. There's too many of them and they could flood the entire West and take control, like they are doing in Canada. So far, mostly more talented Indians are escaping India, but there average IQ as a nation is only in the mid seventies. Indians, like most non Europeans, have a strong tendency to look after their own people first. That's why in Canada, young Canadians of European descent, now struggle to find any entry level jobs.

Indians commit rape at a higher percentage rate than any other people. They have made their whole country, including their sacred Ganges River, an ecological and biological disaster. I fear they will ecologically ruin Canada, which will harm our Great Lakes, atmosphere and both oceans.

I have met a fair number of fine Indians, some of whom I have been friends with for 30 plus years. I was even offered and arranged marriage with an Indian woman, who was Episcopalian, when I broke up with my college girlfriend. I have also dealt with a lot of terrible Indians. I think we need to be highly selective of them and everyone else we let in our country. We need to protect the future of our people.
