I know ALOT of you guys have already been there,,
But my sister and myself were having to go through mom’s things and decide what goes to the dumpster, goodwill and our homes.
Mom passed away 2 years ago,, but we just couldn’t bring ourselves to have to do what had to be done.
Seeing letters and cards she kept from dad, pictures I didn’t know existed, it was just plain tough.
Seeing a side of her that I didn’t know about.

For you guys that still have your mom and dad,,never ever miss the opportunity to tell them how you feel,, or just spend some quality time.
Because you don’t wanna regret the opportunities missed.
Although my mom and dad weren’t what you call the “ huggy , feely, touchy,” kind,,
They just had a different way of expressing it.

Stand by your principles, Stand by your guns, and victory complete and permanent is sure at last.

2 years seems a long time to get around to that ritual.
Sorry for your loss.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

it's also hard because , you don't want to see those memories lost but where do you put them.

I need to go through my wife's stuff but for now I put it in her sewing room and closed the door. getting close to a year.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I go see my mom every Wednesday for lunch. She is 95. She still lives in her house alone.

It is more blessed to give than to receive

Took 9 months, on and off to clean out my folks place, 40 yard dumpster and hundreds of black garbage bags...plus all the stuff I gave to the neighbors... they saved EVERYTHING, and most of it was of no value...except to them.
Tough to do, I agree, but geeze, dozens of empty candy boxes cause they were pretty?, lol...gotta wonder what they were thinking... confused grin

After we took what we wanted I had an auction company come and clean out the basement, 2 levels and a attic for a 50:50 split they did it in one day and hauled it off it was a good deal
