Going to pick up a 2007 Honda rancher from the in laws , gonna build a box or do something for carrying stuff in the back, I do have a set of the kolpin bar mounts for my catch pole, rifle or whatever maybe put some milk crates on for buckets.

If you have a quad or sxs setup for trapping lets see them.

Usually im in my truck but I think thia quad will be convenient for the properties I have right here by the house or for venturing into some harder to access state land areas, or other private access that I can get on after the crops are off.

I have a 570 Polaris Sportsman I use. I tossed around getting a snowmobile again but ended up purchasing tracks instead for the atv. More reasonable at the time than a newer sled and they get me where I need to go even in the deep snow.

I used this setup for 9 of the 10 years I used this Quad and never found any setup I felt was better for me. Box is from TSC, perfect for me from coyote to beaver trapping and everything inbetween!

I used two 6 gallon milk crates and a 4 gallon for the back "rack" on my atv. Seems to work well enough so far.

And this year I added a wood "box" to the front for carrying critters.

I just use the Kolpin boxes front and back. 5 gallon buckets fit inside if you want to go that route. Leaves the back rack useable or can have my wife ride with me when she is along. Wish a sxs fit into my truck bed with tailgate closed. That would be better all around but I travel with the camp trailer and 4 wheeler.

The front of a 2000s Honda will hold 660 stabilizers between the grill guard and the plastic.

Sweet! Put some good rubber on and send it.

I swap my quad and sled around every spring & fall. What sucks is my quads at the shack all summer. There’s one beaver job I usually do once a summer that’s a 3/4 mile walk in. I came close to buying an older little Honda with trailer this spring. Then I thought, it’s just one job, and only a couple beaver back there……I’ll just walk.

Mines nothing fancy, loaded with about 300’ of rope, slings, shackles, snatch blocks plus the winch rope. Comes in super handy when a buck is dead down through the bush at the bottom of a ravine, or the closest anchor point is far off.
I usually pull some sort of trailer.

I’m too lanky for one of those…unless they aren’t all equal…very tight.

My wood box was repurposed from my “88” Big Bear, but needs to be a little wider, deeper and taller. And positioned or shaped so that a windshield can move around behind it on the steering wheel.

I have a 2007 Arctic Cat TRV. I bought it new in Alaska and it has been a tank. It goes in way deeper snow than I ever thought possible. I moose and caribou hunted with it and plowed miles of driveway. I prefer to my side by side but my side by side carries more and has a heated cab. My wife cannot be left by herself so she goes with me on the line in the side by side.

The side by side is an Arctic Cat 700 Prowler. Good machine but horribly loud in the cab. But right now it is the only way I can trap because I have to take my wife everywhere with me. I put a cross bed tool box on it and can carry 4+ dozen coyote traps in it and still have room for a couple totes of waxed sand. I/ve had seven coyotes stacked on the front rack. I'm welding up a rack for the back to support the tool box and give me a place to mount my release pole, my release tool, shovel, axe and death ray. I'll post some pictures of the rack when its done.

Trail cameras and fresh snow have broke a lot of trapper’s hearts.

Tom the local welder makes uo those boat racks for everybody in town.Mine is tube steel but he also makes them out of stainless steel.I got mine made to haul building materials thru the bush for cabin maintenance.but most guys have them for fishing boats or canoes and the motor on the back of the rack.I use mine for that also.
Tom welded plates on my other bike so I can switch it between the two bikes. It goes on with 4 large bolts.
