I did find this while doing some research out of curiosity,,,

How many twisters did your state usually get before 2025?
Illinois already leads the nation in tornados this year and had the most tornados in 2025.

No idea of numbers but occasionally we have some weather system move in and seems to spawn several . But I know we don't have nearly as many as you guys in the Midwest

I had to look it up, Wisconsin has had 31 so far this season, 135 percent above the seasonal average. I've responded to search and recovery operations in the past in the local community. Had one take the tops out of a row of trees 50 ft from the house. Another rolled the neighbors house off the foundation. I don't worry about them, I got no control over what they might or will do. Sure take the appropriate precautions and clean up after. Life is to short, it goes on, just roll with it I say.

Maybe one every 20 years or so? Nothing very big either.

^^^ imagine there are some that would say your comment is borderline extreme

… but I’m not here to judge

…so carry on I guess

Kidd, It could be said that the comment you pointed to could be considered extreme.
I'd say it is for sure without a doubt political. And I see at the top of the page one of the rules says No Politics.
I would believe that to mean no bashing or putting down just one political party or any political party. Not only that but I would think that No Politics rule means No writing about anything political and not trapping related period.

Very rare here, but we get some, about once a year or so, all small ones, but the damage they do is impressive...I have a pic of a double water spout over the ocean...

Ohio gets about 10-30 per year. We had a few hit here last week.

as many as 70

as few as 4

the averaged 2020-2025 has been 39.6

it is also important to understand how we count tornadoes

it previously had to be seen by a trained weather spotter , there are a lot more of them now and they are a lot more active now and even in the last 20 years.

in the past it might have been a sheriffs deputy or fireman setting outside of town watching. now with access to radar in vehicle storm chasers can follow storms for a great distance collecting data and getting video of tornadoes.

they may also now match radar indicated rotation to ground damage.

so a tornado in a corn field no one sees and is not recorded by radar , crop damage or not is wind damage and not a tornado.

just so when we look at the data that is important to note
here is a log of every official tornado in WI since 1950
https://data.jsonline.com/tornado-archive/

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

UP maybe. A lot less commons up there. I was actually able to be in one of them! Back in 1984. F2 near Curtis

LP averages 16 per year and is currently sitting at 22 this year.
