We got a hall not too far from me, my friend is a member so he can go to the dinners on the weekend, says the food is great and very reasonable,they got some kind of 50-50 thing going on, last I heard the total was over 400g... been trying to recruit me into signing up...
I didn't know they were still a thing either..

How about the "Possum Lodge" from Red and Green, how do we sign up for that?......jk

Wife and I belong to the Moose at Clarence, Pa.

Use to belong to two different elks lodges. Really enjoyed stopping by at 5pm for cocktails. The club manager would take fresh fish into the kitchen, clean them, fry them, and bring the pieces to our table for appetizers. I had an old dog that would sit at the door where there was a camera. The manager would soon let the dog in. She went straight to a certain table and sat patiently until someone ordered snacks to feed her. She watched CNBC stock channel as if she understood the stock market. She went to the Elks Lodge every afternoon, even if I couldn’t.

She was the only dog allowed in the club room.

Was BPOE in the 80s. It was a safe place to take respectable women.
Traveling it was a safe place and a parking lot to sleep.
Best story was outside of the tunnel in CO.

We had an Elks Lodge in our area many years ago. Poor management ran it into the ground. Can't be many around anymore.

Both an Elks and Moose lodge locally.

The Elks Lodge in Wrangell Alaska is still a thriving concern, but Wrangell is not an ordinarly community.

wife was a bar tender at the local moose lodge when we met its close now, I've been member of eagles club for 35 years

Our Moose Lodge here in town is in the process of closing down. No volunteers.

Plus the younger generations don't like going out among people, let alone drinking and socializing.
