Just got a half dozen of the duke number 2 4 coil traps they seem like a nice trap my question is about the center attachment I'm thinking about bubble weld to be safe. Picture below [Linked Image]

Seems like an expensive alternative to a D ring.

I like the set up. If you don't like a center chain set up, you can change it out. If your worried about the nut coming off just peen over the end of the bolt. No welding needed.

I'd be more worried about the j-hook opening than that nylon nut coming off. Plus you will probably eliminate the "nylon locking" aspect when you touch a welder to that bolt.
