What using for a cage? They will test it and if any fault they will find it. Don't crowd them or they will kill each other,

You will need a transport cage and a holding cage.
Transport cage = similar to a dog box in your pickup, but made heavy duty. Remember, if he can get his head thru...he's gone.
Holding cage = something much bigger to put coyotes in for up to a week so they have room to get up and move around. They'll usually only move around at night in the holding cage...testing it's strength and design. Ticks will drop from them into your yard.
Keep in mind that you will have to feed and water them daily. And some will need meds.....this will take 2 people to do...you and whoever....each time. A helper need not be afraid of the coyote or you'll both possibly get bit.
You will also need a quality chokestick as you will use it A LOT! Taking coyotes out of traps and putting in truck cage/box. Once home, taking coyotes out of truck and putting in holding cage/pen. Taking coyotes out of holding cage/pen to take to buyer or load in buyer's truck. Some coyotes like to resist being handled. Some just go limp. The resistors are memorable!
Cage doors that only need slamming to LATCH is a must. Slots built in the cage doors for the chokestick to remain on the coyote until the door is latched is highly reccomended.
Traps are the least of your expenses when getting into live marketing.
Offset jawed traps cut feet more. Laminated jaws are a must. Strong springs are a must (baseplate if not baseplated from factory.) 3 or 4 Crunch-proof in-line swivels per chain is smart. Double stake with 1/2" x 24" rebar or use a single good disposable.
Can u do this without tooling up like this? Sure, but you'll have more bad days and some getaway coyotes.

…. Shoot we used to just stick them in a hog trap and the buyer would come pick them up
… had a 55 gallon drum with a rebar door carrying them from the left line … it would hold about 6 or 7 before you had to offload … they would only really snap at each other when you put a new one in …. And in the hog trap they would just get in pile on top of one another lol Same concept....different tools!
