I just got woke up by my wifes old dog jumping on me on her way to squeeze herself in between the wife and I. Shortly after I heard the thunder and saw the flashes of lightning. I have no idea why she wants to be right against us every time it storms. Its sure not safer on the bed over her spot in the floor on my side of the bed or on the couch with us over her spot at our feet in front of it.

Anyone else have a dog that gets clingy durring storm?

I really need to get a king and get rid of this queen. The old girl has really put on weight since geting fixed and always seems to take her spot out of my side.

We have a bloodhound mutt that dislikes storms also. We don’t let our dogs sleep on the bed but there has been several times Ive woken up during a storm to have my dog face to face with me right beside the bed.

Some disliked thunderstorms some didn't care...fireworks are worse,. but they're too little to jump into the bed, lol

Buddy had his young chocolate lab all trained up perfect for goose hunting. First year went great. Then, over summer a big thunderstorm came through and a shot of lightning took out 3 hydro poles about 1/2 mile away. Was so loud they thought it hit the house. They were outside on their porch and the dog runs straight for the garage and under a table.
Our first goose hunt was behind his house later in fall. First flock came in and we unloaded, Molly jumped out of the blind and ran straight home…….lol.
Shes done with loud bangs now.

That last sentence is no way to talk about your wife.

Many yrs ago we got a little dog ( not sure of the breeds mixed into her) from the pound for the girls when they were small.

The first storm that happened when she came home a couple months later we couldnt find the dog in the house.

ended up she had hopped into our open dryer an hid there. afterwards an hour before a thunderstorm hit she would head for the dryer an stay there till it ended.

Lady was a good dog till she passed but we always knew when a storm was headin our way. kids always had a blanket in the dryer for when when she did.

Yup , got a German wire hair pointer who wants to be 0.001 inches from me when there is thunder but you can blast a bird 10 feet over his head with a 12ga and he is on top of the world

I also have a play list with a lot of CCR and get that going when there is a storm rolling in or fireworks.

just got to Run through the Jungle and go to Green River.

he will lay down in front of the speaker after a while

doesn't really work to keep that going and sleep at the same time however.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
