Ive bought 6 new duke #2 4 coils and they seem great but the center swivel d loop is bolted on it does have a nylock nut but im wondering if anyone has gone ahead and put a bubble weld on them or is it a non-issue? [Linked Image]

I have never messed with them but even hitting the threads with a punch should work. Its hard to tell by the picture is that center swivel very heavy. Looks like light material.

It's just as heavy as a regular D loop it might lay a little flatter than a regular d loop

Leave them be, would use them just as they are until I see they have issues. They look fine to me.

Thanks I thought that but figured id get some others opinions I haven't seen any reviews for them with this style of loops

What Les said. A guy MIGHT want to check the swivel action out of that crimped j-hook? If it swivels without binding use it...if not replace it with a #6 j-hook(MTP sells them).

It swivels good I did check that thats a stock photo I posted i didn't take a Picture of the traps I have

I’d jump right on trying that trap out if it met the personal criteria for the job Im on…4 coils is too much power for this gig,otherwise it looks usable.
