Who has had knee issues and how did it end for you ? This past fall I really struggled just to run 60 coyote sets. The up and down just killed my right knee. I’m at the point now I can hardly walk on my right leg. Went to my doctor and he referred me to a specialist. Haven’t seen him yet.

Good luck man. It doesn't sound like you're going to enjoy life much without doing it.

6 meniscus surgeries. 3 on each knee. Both knees required total knee replacements. 2 months postop now on the second one. 1st one was awesome. 1 year it was almost 100% this second knee isn't so good. I waited to long to get it replaced. It's going to take longer to recover because i started in a deep hole.

Do the pt before and after surgery. Ice is a must. Good luck

Have had multiple steroid shots in each knee and fluid withdrew from each several times. The last couple shots didn't help much. Had MRI of left knee, then doc went in and cleaned the ragged meniscus best he could and changed the oil in that knee joint. I've never injured my knees. Mine is just wear and tear....I'm 62 this year.

Doc says I need total replacement of both but that I should put it off as long as I can stand it. I'm not bone on bone yet in either knee. I cannot imagine the pain when that happens....compared to my pain now.

I hobble around everyday...everywhere I go. I have to go down steps sideways. I have to go up steps one at a time. Any sideways torque on either knee is excruciating pain. After being active and then sitting for a while...when I try to stand it is a pitiful sight. Takes me a minute to take a step.

I take 800 mg of ibuprofen but not every day. It does help.

Treatment of meniscus injuries today is way different than it was when I tore my medial meniscus back in the 70s in my mid 30s. Spent my first 3 nights in a hospital when they removed about 80% of mine. What was left has worn out. I have been bone on bone for several years but the pain has been manageable so I have not gone the knee replacement route yet.

I also believe I had at least a partial tear of my ACL when I tore the meniscus but the x-rays did not show that. I had stability issues for many years and was eventually diagnosed with a torn ACL and had surgery to repair that. The surgeon could not even tell that I ever had an ACL when he went in to fix it. That surgery fixed the stability problem.

To the OP, get checked out. The imagining techniques (MRI) are much better now and the arthroscopic surgery can fix a lot of issues. I have only my experience and no medical training but it sounds like you probably have loose chunks floating around in your joint keeping it inflamed and painful. You could also have ligament damage causing stability issues as well. .
