I had a buddy that I use to work with call me yesterday evening want to know if I would like to go catfishing with him on the Osage River in the morning? I said heck yeah and we were on them right away this morning. Anywhere there was step banks and a rocky bottoms we caught fish. The biggest fish of the day was 9 1/2Lbs. and yes we limited out by 11:00 this morning. The river was up about 8 1/2 feet from all the rain in the last couple of days making the water conditions perfect. And best of all after we got back to his houses and cleaned all of them he told me to take them all home grin . He told me they didn't have anymore room in the freezer, it was a total of 5 one gallon bags stuffed full.

The best we ever did was our limit (10 each) with 3 of us on small channel cats all about 18-23 inches. We were trolling with small stick baits in a flowage and got an occasional walleye but the cats were hitting and to me just as tasty if not better.

That looks like a lot of fun.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Looks like a great time. My 15 yr old is sitting here at table rock disappointed he can’t catch a fish lol. He fishes everyday back home and has great luck, but having trouble figuring out the big lake with lots of pressure. Bank fishing

Tell him not to feel bad, I grew up on table rock and always struggled. You can catch perch all day long, but tough to catch much from bank consistently when it comes to bass or crappie.

Went to college next to it and wife's Uncle lived/guided there. With this heat the bass might be 30-50' deep and they get a lot of pressure. Now this was also 15-30 years ago. Overtime the lake has been getting less clear due to runoff(nutrients) from chicken farms, people, yards, etc. so maybe they aren't quite so deep.
