It seems in my area we get the same price for summer and winter skunks if we skin the feet out. I had an aunt call me about skunks in her yard, so set a couple traps and had a young of the year this morning. It can't weigh more than a couple pounds, before the big skunk craze I sold these for about $20 frozen whole but was wondering would I be better off skinning them these days? Taxidermists used to buy them from me.

If your selling them to taxidermists, ask if they want you to skin them or not. Some will not want you to skin them as they want them done the way they want.

If you can get $20 for June young of the year from a taxidermist. You better take it.

I was still getting $22 for my M-S III July skunks at the March auction. They're easy enough to put up, but if I could get $20 for them now, put up or whole.......I'd sell em.
