Always look forward to photographing these birds every year when they nest in some of the sloughs in the area. I really wanted to get them with baby chicks on their backs as they transport them around, unfortunately a couple big storms wiped out all the nests this year so I just got the adults. Hope you enjoy.

Nice,what Grebe scoots across the water on there feet and butts for mating season?Too bad about the storms do they try to have a brood when that happens?

The Western and Clarks grebe to that “rush dance”

Not sure if they will renest, I’m going to watch them and see. My guess is no.
