Normans aren't vikings. More like the Franks (French) than the vikings (Scandinavians) . Beowulf was a Geat, who I share genetic relation with. The Norman's came to England under William the Conquerer (or other unmentionable surnames) in 1066, with a dubious claim to the Englush throne. At the time, England was populated by Angles, Saxon, Britons and a variety of Vikings, including Danes, under Danelaw. Then the Normans invaded and brought in their aristocracy and screwed it all up.

Heck now I feel even more manly, my kin folks were so bad they kicked Viking (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman). lol

What's funny K Snow is my information came from a family members ancestry research. My Ancestry DNA don't show a lick of French blood, mostly English and Northwestern European, with a little sidetrack in Africa. lol
Maybe I'm adopted...lol
