in one of the very few conversations I ever had with Dave Edwards, he cautioned me about making gland lures "too hot"...that it was often beneficial to use a milder base in conjunction with pure glands, to calm them down some.

I'm wondering if you other lure-makers subscribe to Dave's theory. and if so, what percentage of your lures' formulas (I'm sure it varies) are "base material", versus other ingredients.
