So my partner Gerri Hudson has been trying her hand at doing some painting and has in my opinion created some truly impressive and beautiful pieces. Of course she says oh they are just folksy stuff not that great, so please give your opinions. Mike

I've mostly only been to art shows against my will, but from what I've seen I can tell you she'd stand out at most of them. Great work.

Seen that type of paintings at the County Fairs..
The guy huffs aerosol paints all day...spins them in a box..
And comes out with some wicked stuff

There is obvious talent in these pieces. There is nothing wrong with "folksy"...decoys are folksy as are scrimshaw and classic pottery and ceramics. I'm sure Audubon's watercolor paintings were considered folksy by some of his contemporaries.
Just happy to be here.

The circle painting is awesome! It’s kind of like a flat earth model.

I'm sure the first one, the eye, would bring good money if marketed to a eye doctor's office/clinic. They both look great!

When she first sent me the eye, I thought it was a photo of a real eye!
