Is that all treated lumber? Might wanna consider if the toxic chemicals used would be detrimental to the animals.

Yeppers all treated yella pine . I am concerned when it comes to my rabbits but don't really see quail picking at or trying to eat the wood so don't figure it would be much of an issue

Looks good Wolfie..... Something I have always wanted to build.....Here is a question...... Are you going to put something on the tin roof to help keep it a little quieter in a hard rain or hail storm? Now you got me going might have to finally get a quail "Hutch" built !

I'm lazy. Get quail the old fashioned way.

Why all the siding?

If they are grown they will be cooler with more airflow

As far as keeping the. Alive they're still working , haven't had one die in probably a year or so. Egg production not so much as soon as it hits about 85° in the tractors they just completely stop laying . Seems to be a bit hotter and humid in on the ground so wanted to see if getting them up would help. That and I really wanna be able to collect their poop a lil easier for compost
