Thanks for the bump, Mike
Ok, as time gets closer, we’re getting a few more questions from new attendees that I thought I’d address
First, the cost to attend Coyote Days is $20 per person, but 17 and under is FREE, so bringing a family isn’t going to cost YOU a lot to get in
You’ll get a wristband that signifiers that you paid entrance fee and is good for BOTH days
Trust me, the demos are worth $1000’s, and the $20 is put towards us paying for the 101 things it takes to put this event on.
The Saturday Night Banquet is seperate, and it is $25/ticket, and that is for man, women, child, whatever
We buy steak loins, and they are sliced the night before, and we judge it on how many tickets are sold, give or take of course.
We encourage everyone to take in and enjoy the banquet, but it’s not required by any means!
The banquet is held Saturday evening in the main fairgrounds building, which is now air conditioned and has a good sound system.
We’ll have a guest speaker or two, bucket raffle (20 items) and also draw for the other items we sell raffle tickets for at the Coyote Days desk at entrance of the building we use at south end of fairgrounds
ALL the items raffled will be won by Coyote Days attendees, as that is the only place the tickets will be sold
Supper includes grilled steaks, salad, baked potatoes, etc
After supper will be the fur fashion show, with many garments and fur accessories being modeled. And again, if you have a fur garment you or your lady friend would like to bring and wear in the fur show, by all means, bring it!
After that, we’ll have the auction
Like last year, we’ll have 2 groups of items for the auction
One group will be items designated for the Endowment Fund (Scholarship), and the other group will be items to be auctioned with proceeds going towards helping us offset some of the event’s cost (grounds, motel rooms for demo presenters, etc)
We don’t solicit items for the auction, but if you’d like to bring something to donate to the auction, again feel free to to, and it’ll be appreciated. I’d appreciate it if you make us aware of who donated it, so we can give credit, and also designate if for endowment fund or general auction
So, that addresses the questions that we’ve received lately I think.
Coyote Days is based around the 20 top quality demos, 10 per day, and the Friday night roundtable discussion.
Add on the Camp Cattrax fish fry on Friday night, and some great company for the weekend, and I can’t think of a better place to get ready for this fall, or just to catch up with friends and like minded people
