Still having problems getting my platelets up closer to normal. Spent 4 days in the hospital getting infusions to increase my count. At 52 right now, much better than the 6 I had a week ago.
They have me scheduled for a bone marrow biopsy this Friday. Any of you ever had this procedure before? Not sure what they are looking.

Got a photo from a speeding camera in the mail. I immediately sent it back - way too expensive and really poor quality.

Yes I’ve had one in February 2021. It’s a difficult procedure, at least mine was. Did it right there in the office. Was hard for me to hold still. You can numb skin and tissue but you cannot numb bone. They went into the hip bone on my right side to get a core bone marrow sample. My wife was helping hold me still and evidently I cursed kind of loudly at the staff and technician. Probably just me, though. I’ve heard others say it wasn’t the worst thing.
But I know the procedure was important in identifying my CML condition.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Had it done a few years ago.

The girl who was doing it was new and missed her mark. It hurt like crazy.

They brought in a different guy and he hit the mark right on. It didn't hurt, but it felt weird while they were pulling the sample into the syringe.

5 minutes after the procedure I was driving myself home.
