I’ve already responded to this thread with a recipe addition that I believe will put any baked bean recipe over the top so as I’ve been following the thread along, I’d decided to tell a true story about my bake bean recipe and how good it is. My son-inlaw puts on a “garden” party in Baltimore MD every year and when he tasted my beans when he visited us, he ask for the recipe for his annual parties.

Every year since at his parties, if there are any beans left at all (and he makes 2 big pans of’em) there is a line of people waiting to take home the leftover baked beans even if all they take home is a 1/2 of Dixie cup. People rave about the beans to the extent that that people will ask in the RSVP if he is serving the MI baked beans this year and could he save them some!
