Tatiana "Mushroom Guru" T Joined: Nov 2017 Siberia	I've heard a tale that whenever they bring in human burger (a former 500 cc biker, drag racer, etc.) to the transplantology unit to take apart for organs, they test for toxoplasmosis. Toxoplasma makes rodents lose fear of predators, but apparently it also binds ot the same/similar proteins in the human brain, and risky behaviors spike. There's a positive correlation between the need for speed and liking kitties (and neglecting to wash your hands after cleaning the litter box). I'm annoyingly "safety first" and I've never broken a bone in my life, and I'm one of the relatively few people who don't have Toxoplasma antibodies, meaning no exposure. Not a big fan of cats either, although some cats are nice... from a distance

elsmasho82 trapper Joined: Jan 2023 Pennsylvania	Tatiana I’ve probably spent fifty percent of my life on litterbox duty and I’m the biggest scaredy cat this side of the Mason Dixon line. If we drive across a high bridge over 50 MPH my hands go numb. Perhaps I have the same immunity to toxo!
