What hip waders do you guys like for the trap line ? I would like something for the river, brush and easy to kneel down in.

These ones right here. Identical to the old Wick hipboots.

I wish they had them in men's sizes, Yote.
I just ordered another pair of lacrosse, and they've been good, but to be fair they're the only ones in my size that I can find.

I'll try that, Yote. I ordered a new pair of lacrosse yesterday, but when I inevitably ruin them, I'll call them up.

Five years ago, I switched to Dan's boots you send your measurements (inseam, thigh etc.) and they build you a set of light durable hip waders with the boot of your choice, I use dry shod on mine. I went from using a pair a year, to I'm only on my second pair in five years. I only use hip waders because chest waders mean that the water is deeper when I go over them, and instead of just my legs getting wet, my whole body gets it.

My Dans are on their 4th year. I’ve never had a pair last this long. They fit good too. You’d be better off duct tapping garbage bags to your boots and legs if you run them cheap pairs. They ain’t good for nothing…….one time use it seems. The $80 ones are actually disposable…..lol
Your feet and back will thank you if you get a quality boot too.

I coon hunted and trapped for years with a pair of the original frog legs. Not to warm though. Need wool socks.

Impressive. That's 3.5 years longer than my one and only pair of Dan's lasted. I think they made it to the end of November of their first season.

Agree. I bought a pair of these recommended by Yotetrapper30. Have been frog gigging in them and they are the most comfortable hip waders I have ever used very lightweight and durable

I perfer the Yoder's over the Dan's, but both are good. I like the black nylon versus the brown as well, Lacrosse boots I absolutely hate, they ain't made for people with big ankles and calves. I have a pair of Dan's on a pair of Lacrosse boots size 11 for dirt cheap, just hit me up!! Muck boots are so much easier on and off and give me good support on my yoder waders.
