Saw on NewsMax this morning where the IL supreme court upheld the ban on semi-autos. No surprise there.

The SCOTUS has agreed to hear this case. I'm guessing the unconstitutional law will be struck down when they do.

Eh...wot?

Let's hope so.

I feel good that SCOTUS will make the right call, yet it's not a lock.

Can't come soon enough

So how does a ban on semi-autos work? Can't be sold by gun shops? Can't be owned at all? If latter, are they going to be buying them up? Confiscating? If you own a Rem 1100 shotgun, can you sell it to me from MO? Can I then use it at Grand Nationals in Sparta?

Lots of questions...........

Easy to vote your way into socialism, but impossible to vote your way out of it.

It won't stand. Its unconstitutional and a clear violation of law. The judges who upheld it and the politicians who passed it are aware of that. Low life scum sucking communist rats IMO. There are constitutional amendment provisions. Instead of working toward that, something else they know full well won't pass, they resort to criminal behavior. I have had a belly full. The condition of Chicago should be enough for anyone to see the rewards of this kind of thinking.

"But the 7th Circuit sided with Pritzker the next year, in 2023, finding that the weapons covered by Illinois’ law don’t have Second Amendment protection because they “are much more like machine guns and military-grade weaponry” than like other firearms used for self-defense."

I guess the Supremes get to decide whether military looking weapons are covered under their right to own guns for self defense creation.

To many people believe the 2nd was created for having protection, when the real reason was to have arms for any new charge against the people , so that they could still have weapons equal to those fighting to keep what they have, this means to me to always have equal rights against those trying to oppress you near and far away, which would include weaponry !

This was foremost in the thoughts of the builders of the Constitution, in alienable rights against reproach !

This is another reason for term limits as well so the one side or the other cannot out vote the other, even though they should understand what the 2nd means !

Even if the Supreme Court over rules the lower court, nothing will change. Just like NY’s governor, he will pass another end run ban.

Are you referring to a Winchester lever action?
