Anyone have a method that works?

The ultra violet colorform stickers seem to attract them, I've been hanging mardi gras type beads on the outsides , seems to help quite a bit but some birds still go kamikazi...trying to find a better solution without making this place look like a State prison, lol

I’ve seen places install a window film on outside of windows that’s fairly transparent that works fairly good. Need to try reducing the glare that comes off the windows and most people use stickers or handing cords to try but those methods are not always visually pleasingly.

I had a Robin, 2 years in a row, bombing my cave doors. Had 100 1/8" Robbin spit marks on the glass. Hasn't been back recently. Possibly got that football brain thing..

Only thing that has worked for us over the years is lengths of black paracord hung down 6-8” apart across problem windows. It obstructs the view somewhat but bird strikes are 90% less now and 99% less fatal.

I've learned enough thru the years to now know that I don't know enough. KNOWLEDGE IS FREEDOM.

do you have curtains?

the windows we found the worst you could see light through a house where 2 windows lined up enough.

I can't recall a bird window strike at my current house in 22 years

we have thin fabric curtains on every window and they seldom get opened other than to look out for a minute

the light comes in through them quite well.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Got interior mini blinds on the windows, it's the reflections off the glass, like a mirror image of surrounding open area....only happens on a few windows, primarily on the south side...the hanging beads seem to work most of the time....might have to add to them, recent recommendations is a cord, or stripe every 4 inches if vertical....
