I have a 3D Printer that can print 12x11.25x12 and got thinking about designing and printing some boxes for trapping mostly marten but I am sure they can work for other animals. They'd be made of a material that can withstand UV rays and the heat/cold well. Not sure if anyone tried this yet or how well it works haha. There is a material being sold that has wood in it so theres an idea for material smell

I could imagine a market if it was cheap enough. Do you have any idea what it would cost to make a box 6X6X12?

Curious what it would cost. Made one out of free plywood, but it didn't hold up. Then made one from free scrap 7/8" composite plastic wood, because full pieces are very expensive. Maybe you can beat that price. The plywood model, for a 160 Cconibear: [Linked Image]

I just ran it in my slicer program and had it be 1/4” thick and yeah just in material it’s $10.66 hahah I see why nobody has 3D printed them

you measure your material in grams 1-2 cents a gram is common a print that size is probably 400-500 grams

you can paint PLA and it holds up better to UV

probably a 30% infill for a little extra strenth

probably print it as 2 haves a front and a back then join them with a few zip ties , that way if you break the front of the box you are only re-printing a front

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
