Looks like Ontario has a good hot spot above you.
This map from NASA is super handy if you know how to select the different satellites & sensors. Not all the spots are fires if you look at the data.

I took a short course on utilizing all the tools on this site……..I probably forgot most of it…….lol
It’s pretty cool to see the hotspots from factories or mills, gas plants etc. hot spots in the middle of nowhere can be eliminated by analyzing the other data like which satellite picked it up, the angle of the sensors swath, kw of energy detected coming from the spot. It’ll tell you when it’s coming back too.
This ain’t no fire.

The the further out to the edge of the sensors swath, the more you have to look into the other data to determine whether it’s an actual fire or not. Towards the edge, water or rock can give false hot spots, but you can weed out the fakes by looking at the other data collected.
Pretty cool!

I still smell it here in southeast PA but it's not nearly as hazy as yesterday. it's supposed to come and go the next few days. It was thick last evening.

We had a decent rain yesterday, but it didn't clear the air. It's bad today.

There's a small silver lining
No bugs, I don't even see the bees
Heard the frogs (peepers) start early yesterday, around 3 in the afternoon
