I assume that we've all heard the philosophical query, "What if you could go back in time and....."
What I wonder is what about the sealed train 1917? Would you, if time traveling, deal with Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov?
If so, are we currently experiencing our own sealed train moment?

No would not change a thing. The best intentions tend to have unintended consequences. Some much worse things may have resulted from the change.
Then again not being so hard on German after WW1 and not creating the hardships for German that set the stage for Hitler to gain power may have been a good idea. The truth is that the US was played badly by England and France after WW1 which set up Adolfs rise to power, take him out and that doesn’t change the circumstances that led to everything that happened, it just means someone else would step into his place maybe someone more competent and worse

The turning point of that war was the battle of Britain. The biggest mistake Hitler ever made.It was the beginning of the end for Hitler and his Facist thugs. Big fat Goering and his luftwaffe could not hold a candle to the fighting spirit and skill of the Brits and Canadian airmen in the hurricanes and spitfires. Watch the Thames series World at war. Some great footage.

It was a an important won battle, thanks to the Eagle Squadrons of American Volunteers including my grandfather's first cousin and first cousin once removed, Ace of Aces and One Man Air Force, Don Gentile. The American pilots, who did the heavy combat, were officially enlisted back into the US Air Force in 1941. Hitler should have left Britain alone as much as possible, until his power was consolidated. Keith

Yes it certainly was as affirmed by all the scholars and historians. And as usual the usa did not declare war on germany until 1941(battle of britain was in 1940),after they knew which way the war was going same as in ww1.

Please name at least some than that thought the turning point of WWII was the Battle of Britain. The US Eagle Squadron pilots, who did the expert heavy fighting, during the Battle of Britain, were the No. 71, No. 121, and No. 133. Their ground support crews were mostly British. Keith

Actually, Germany declared war on the U.S. and the Hitler's biggest mistake was Barbarossa.

My answer lies in another philosophical conundrum. If your child was dying but by pressing one button they will live, only that the button means a million chinamen must die. Can we only hit the button once?
