Who sells the best pigeon traps? I used to have a couple home made ones we caught tons of birds in, but need some more portable.

Traps no, the Guatemalans climb up into the over passes at night and grab them off their roost... smile

Best? IDK. I got mine from WCS. I also made one a little bigger than the standard, I guess. Both work. If I ever get another very large pigeon job, I'll get the giant collapsible trap.
Last year I had a customer with just under 400 birds. I shot about 2/3 of them and caught the rest. And there was still a dozen or so that were wicked wary of the traps, and me.

We have 3 of the large pigeon traps sold by WCS. I have had them many years. We were doing some large power plant cooling towers back in those days. 3-400 ft high. Not my favorite thing to do but the pay was good. They are collapsable and not very heavy to haul up and down the elevators.

We set them up on some plywood platforms that we had to construct and secure them on site as needed. Everything was a grid floor so we had to prevent debris from falling to the workers below. They work very well with some pre baiting and regular maintenance.

Those traps were used on all of our large commercial jobs. For smaller residential jobs we have much smaller traps the size of large cage traps that worked fine for just a few birds. Any large flock and some small jobs you may need to construct a platform to accomodate and secure the trap.
