I got myself a #14 Jump with teeth. It also has a copper tag (MN) on the ring. It is in excellent shape, but the antique dealer (I'm assuming) cleaned the pan off to bare metal for the sale, probably thinking that the legible pan would be a selling point. I also got what I believe to be a Griswold #3 with a really cool grass drag on it. I'll try to get a better picture of that later. There is a picture of the pan below.

These novelty traps where what all the cottage crowd was after. As far as I can tell, they went far above retail with the largest selling for $800 Cdn.
It was pretty comical watching some of the Amish men thinking they would be able to set them - even the biggest of them couldn't budge those springs by standing on them LOL.

Had a great time and even met another trapper which was great.

This was right in Matt Duncan's back yard... but I didn't run into him.

Weather was perfect as a stiff breeze and thunderstorms to the north cleared out the smoke and dropped temps into the low 80's (down to 57F that night)... usually it is a 90F death march in full sunlight at these things.

Just happy to be here.

Yea-the amish........wanted some chainsaws at an auction once. It was obvious there was no gas in them for the last 30 years. Still they tried and tried to start them probably wearing the lining off the dry cylinders.

Thank you duck45!

lumberjack391 - there was a large mix of Amish and new/old order Mennonites there. They certainly do have some ways and habits that seem odd but I found most of them to be polite at least.
There are definitely some who don't want anything to do with outsiders unless it is business related and I can't really fault them for that LOL.

We've been about 10 times over the years (we have friends who live close by and it's a good reason for a visit). Sometimes its tempting to just jump the fence and disappear for a while.

Just happy to be here.
