Any one swap the chains for cable on body grips. My 110 need new chain figure a 3/32 cable would be a lot easier to swap them to

Only thing keeping me from swapping over to cable is our water can be acidic and eat cable.

I do it on my 330's and 220" s. I wouldn't think you would need that heavy of cable for your 110's.

Most of my body grips have a most of my body grips have a loop around the spring to a double ferrule followed by another double ferrule and loop around a 900lb fishing barrel swivel followed by 6-8’ of 7x19x 3/32” cable and it would be nice to wax that. Or it will just rust a rot quicker…

330s and 220s-280s

Any bg that needs to be tethered is tethered with cable.

Just wondering if no swivel would be a bad idea? For the guys that do it on 220 and 330 would 3/32 be enough with no swivels I’m thinking 3-5 feet of cable with quick link and ear anchor out in the water the 110 are for mink 220 and 330 for otter and beaver and 3/32 is what I got on hand use it for my foothold otter drowners

A swivel is nice when a beaver swings out into the current, or a fisher isn’t instantly dispatched by your not quite strong enough 220 and wants to roll and twist…

I agree with Les. Even catching otter they can really work over a trap.

Quick link is just a link, embrace the swivel and use both

Especially otter need a swivel.

I use 3/32 7X7 on all my body grips with a regular trap swivel that’s about 2-4” from the spring eye, about 7’ of cable then a stainless long line clip at the end which has a swivel as part of the clip.
I can wrap it around whatever object l want and clip the cable onto its self. I wrap my trap tag around my trap swivel.
Because all our soils are sand and/or peat bogs are full of salt and our salt water marshes corrode traps pretty quickly l change cables every year. Everything gets dipped in F1.

I like extensions that easily detach.
At the fairgrounds, I've seen the nice
wrapped up package.
On freezing rain day, I've seen the
tangled cluster flop of cable
in the back of truck.

I run cable on mine, 3/32". I use snare swivels on my bigger traps only about a foot of cable and a snare swivel with washers and a stop. I tried 1/8" cable but don't like that trap tags won't thread thru the cable.

For 120s I prefer a swivel attached to the spring and then wire.
All others chain or cable gets cut off and just use wire directly.
Wire is much better than cable since it is cheap and easily inspected and changed out.Cable rots from the inside and fails without warning.Changed out tie wire has tones of use repurposed on the line.Kinked and rotten cable is finished,
