Was in TS this morning and saw that exact apple spice scented crushed mineral you mentioned.

Bought two 20lb bags. Poured it out a few minutes ago at two separate locations. One location has a camera.

Maybe these deep South whitetails will take to it. I've never seen much interest in any mineral down here and Ive tried a few different kinds/brands. Several native plant species growing in this sandy soil are high in sodium, so deer are not drawn to artificial mineral as they seem to be in other parts of the Country.

Figured I'd try again after seeing your post on the other thread. Ain't nuthin' but $$$$!

Well around here I've seen deer show up as soon as same day.. I pour it in a stump. My main lick on my farm the stump has been eaten down. So last year I had a sassafras tree fall in my yard so i put the stump cut in the hole. It soaked up the mineral and now they are chewing on it

Ive used both. Mineral blocks work fine. But when I bought all the apple spice TS had last fall on clearance I made a couple more licks on another farm I got permission to hunt. Deer went crazy. They had 50 lb buckets for 9.99. Mineral blocks are 12.99 so i made money !!!!

They hone in on all that stuff here.
Road salt too (for generations).
Not legal to hunt on
but pallet loads are sold every Fall.

Wonder how the salt blocks
work near the ocean.

I've tried cattle mineral blocks 2 or 3 times....the white (mostly salt) ones and the reddish-colored one...Nothing....rain slowly dissolved them and no deer interest.

I have seen a little interest in a Trophy Rock on a nearby property about 8 miles north of my place, so I bought a couple of them....Nothing! No interest.

In north Missouri, I've seen big holes dug out by deer and pics of every buck in the area there every day during the summer.

In fact on my new farm I put out a brown block and poured the apple spice over it. Quick tip Set the block in an old cookie sheet or cake pan. It will last longer and rain and overflow will seep into the ground.
