Where are the beaver getting material for building the dam? And where are they getting sticks to eat? That might be the place to catch them. Remove the dam after you catch a beaver or two and then keep an eye out for any re-construction efforts.

Just doing what I want now.

I remove all the long sticks from the foot and back face of the dam before I start letting the water go.After a few pulls with the beaver rake the whole dam starts moving-thatis when you swim out.
I prefer opening the big culverts the small ones are risky going in from the low end.
A 4 foot culvert is no problem.

This one is holding a lot of water back. My thought I pull the wrong stick I might end of quite a ways down the creek without a paddle. crazy

I found a couple of different spots where were cutting brush for the dam. Put 330's in the runs. Both spots the beaver found different routes to get to high ground. That spot he went to using a different run which it is good because it is deeper water so put the 330 under water and added dive sticks in the run. Found another small opening and hung a snare. Then went where was climbing onto the high ground and added a Bridger #5 and long chained it because water pretty shallow. Maybe he will be waiting for me in the morning.

Oh ya I have seen that. It was in this same culvert. They blew a dam years ago and the culvert looked like they peeled a banana. They had to use a cutting torch and they shortened the culvert by at least 2 feet.
