Got my Antler Rocky Mountian in 7PRC with a bunch of other goodies today. Bring er to the range to do some chrony actions then order a custom turret.


And a new CZ 600 in 7.62x39. Need some glass now.

Good group, I have that caliber in a SKS and it shoots good once you get past the horrible trigger. Good short range gun.

I’ve got a few thousand rounds of 7.62x39 and 2 Russian SKS, both still in the cosmo. A bolt is quick to clean for the corrosive ammo so I can start deprecating my stock……lol. I’ll put a low power scope on it and it’ll be my new beater gun.

Both are 1953 Tulas. One is numbers matching, the others BCG is mismatched.

Early this year I won a Christensen arms 7mmprc at a RMEF banquet have not shot it yet but soon will. I hope to work up a load using the Hornady 162 gr eld-x if only I could a group anything like yours I will be one happy man.

I like the 7.62 caliber-very versatile.
My favorite for nuisance beaver when shots too long for the 12 ga.

I was looking at a CA Ridgeline before I ordered this one from Antler. I’ll bet you won’t have any problems shooting 1/2 MOA.
I still have to mount the optic on the CZ, but I went and got a couple boxes of 175gr ELDX. Might have time tomorrow to pull the triggers.

That Rocky Mountain was stupid expensive and I won’t do it again unless I win the lottery……..but we only live once.

Yea the bolt gun is a CZ 527 Carbine with a set trigger in 7.62.
Anchored the bear with two shots-one to the ribs and a quick follow up to the neck.About 150yd.shot spot and stalk.

Got the custom turret dialed in today, had to go 3 clicks right. Rang the 6” 500yrd gong 3 times and packed er up. The break really tames the light rifle down making it a breeze to shoot.
CZ performed better than I thought with cheap Chinese ammo. Dialed in at 100 with a Vortex 2-7X32 BDC reticle. Using the manufacturer suggestions, the hash marks work out great out to 300, can barely see the dang target with that little scope at 300….lol grouped 4” at 300 off the bench.

I feel the same way about all these new metric calibers. 7MM PRC, no thanks! Now if you start calling it a 284 Canadian, then I could probably get onboard.

At least it doesn't have "Winchester" stamped on it!!
