Wow!!! That is a steal at that price. I'd buy the whole field and sell for 10$ here easily and up to 12$. That is a dozen right, or is that for one cob? Lol

We should now be in peak production in Ohio. I'm going to the Amish produce auction this week hoping to get large amounts of sweet corn, tomatoes, peaches and candy onions to can. I can get Sweet corn for $1.50 a dozen and tomatoes for a nickel a pound sometimes at peak production.

Curious how the sweet corn did here. Field corn is tasseling with very small or no ears. We've been very dry.

We like to get a few dozen ears, grill them and freeze them.

It's been $6 a dozen here for a good while. And I thought that was a good price..evidently, I was wrong.

Meijer store in Bad Axe has been selling 4 ears for a dollar for weeks now. Wal-Mart , a half mile up the road, just a couple of hours ago was .15 cents an ear! Roadside stands are more like stated above.

The Menonites turned me onto the peaches and cream varieties which is what the call the ears with a white kernel every 10th or 15th one. Now I am spoiled.

We spent 25 cents an ear at Wally World last week and it was good corn. No roadside stands here and at farmers markets you pay triple.

$6/dozen
Price will drop as soon as most are picking, and different varieties ripen

I grow a couple hundred dozen every summer for the grandkids. They’ll go out and pick it with me, and they’ll set up in front of the house and sell it three or four times in August. They sold it for $6 a dozen

Lowest I bought here in Iowa is $4 a dozen, seen $5 a dozen and the rest are $8 or $9 a dozen. Most give 13 or 14 ears at those prices.

Used to get good prices at the farm stands, but now that we've been invaded by citidiots, that think going to a farmstand is a vacation, the stands upped their prices to near city levels and the new folks think its a bargain...cheaper to buy in the supermarkets anymore...
