A week ago I got the usual summer telephone call from a farmer friend about coon in his rapidly maturing sweet corn. I set two cage traps and three Dp's. I caught 8 coon in the first three nights than nothing the last couple so picked them up so as not to interfere with his family and neighbors picking corn.
Hie paid me cash and all the corn I want to pick. He also let's me turkey hunt and coyote trap when I ask.
I didn't catch any skunks which was nice for a change.
He is a very generous man and I'm lucky to know him.

Lol. I don't have that kind of will power. No less than two, sometimes three, or four if they are kind of little. Peach season is too short up here

Got thinking about peaches and forgot about corn! Lol... It's just starting here. Around $5 or $6 for early corn. When it's full tilt in 2 to 3 weeks, $4 at Amish stands

Sweetcorn is free here all day long. Some farmers raise and just bring it to town to give awaynto whoever wants some. Same as garden vegetables. Free. all day long. There's always some at the post office to who evedr wants it. Also neighbors always have more than they need. Free.
